Print Design

Border is a year-long project that seeks to explore physical, declared and notational boundaries that exist between contrasting landscapes and countries. It considers the barriers that separate parts of the world with a visual language that incorporates contrasting surfaces, photographs, topologies, type play and composition.

The imagery was taken using a drone to capture aerial images and also a DSLR was used to capture close-ups.

The book was digitally printed onto G.F. Smith Colorplan paper, using Bright White, Mist, Imperial Blue, Racing Green and Forest. Sections using Imperial Blue and Racing Green paper stock used white ink printing on an Arizona Flatbed Printer.
